Pastor Zach has served as a pastor in the CME Church since June of 2013 when he was appointed pastor of the J. Claude Allen (JCA) CME Church of Dixmoor, IL at 18 years old. He served at JCA from June 2013-August 2016. During his pastorate at JCA, God enabled the church to make extensive property updates including the addition of the Bankhead handicap accessible ramp & the renovation of the Osborn Tinsley Conference Center. JCA also grew in membership and regained financial stability. In August 2016, Pastor Zach was appointed as pastor of the Jamison Memorial CME (JMC) of St. Louis, MO. Under his leadership the church demolished its condemned educational building, invested over $100,000 in renovations/worship enhancements and grew in membership, finance and community outreach. In August 2019, the Jamison Memorial and Parrish-Stewart CME Churches merged to cultivate a new, vibrant and more effective ministry within downtown Saint Louis, MO. Rebirth CME Church is the product of two historic congregations who determined through the God given vision of Pastor Zach that they were “Better Together”. Pastor Zach, in August 2021 was appointed Pastor of Phillips Metropolitan CME Church of Hartford, CT. Amoungst many accomplishments achieved during his tenure, two should be highlighted. (1) The purchase of a 1/2 million dollar parsonage for future first families and (2) an increase in over 100 new members in the span of just 24 months. In July of 2023 Pastor Zach was assigned the proud Pastor of the Central CME Church of Detroit, MI. He is excited to lead this Christ Centered & Community Concerned congregation as they engage in impactful ministry together.

Pastor Zach is a graduate of Rich East High School (Park Forest, IL). He went on to matriculate at the Olivet Nazarene University (Bourbonnais, IL) and completed his undergraduate education in Business Communication. In May 2021, he graduated from the Eden Theological Seminary (St. Louis, MO) with a Masters of Divinity Degree. He is a certified Cancer Care Minister through the Midwestern Regional Medical Center of Zion, IL and a 2016 graduate of the C.M.E. Church’s Clinical Pastoral Education Program.

Pastor Zach He stands firm on the scripture found in 2 Timothy 4:2 which says “Preach the Word, be prepared in season and out of season; guide, correct and encourage with great patience and careful instruction, ” as he continues to demonstrate a great love for God’s church and God’s people!
